On the 24th of February the school had its annual cross country race. As part of the sport and recreation course we were tasked with organising the cross country. This involved checking the course and assessing the route for any dangerous parts. When we assessed the course, we made a risk assessment of the run, giving information on parts of the course which may give someone an injury and it also gives different tasks which will need to be carried out by particular members of staff and pupils. Any hazardous parts of the course that we came across, we placed marshals to guide the runners and provide morale support for them, all pupils did very well to run the 3.5km route.
